Sanding Ovations, one of the Tampa Bay region’s most beloved festivals, is making a comeback. This November, Treasure Island will be home to world-class sand sculptures as Sanding Ovations presents “The Gallery of Sand.” The festival takes place on two weekends this year, with activities and viewings planned for Thursday-Sunday, November 20-23, and Saturday and Sunday, November 29-30, at 10400 Gulf Boulevard.

Master sand sculptors from around the world come to Treasure Island every year and create sand masterpieces that are free for all to enjoy. This year’s festival will transform Treasure Island Beach into “a wonderland” of creative and imaginative sand sculptures. As part of the festivities, there is live music every day, a beachfront food court, a beer garden, kite flying, and even fireworks on Saturday night of opening weekend.
