PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists in Pinellas County should prepare for significant traffic disruptions and delays as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 7 implements a comprehensive schedule of lane closures from Sunday, November 9, through Saturday, November 15, 2025.
Work will impact major interstates, US highways, and state roads, concentrating heavily on overnight periods and typical daytime commuting hours.
Drivers using the interstates will experience nightly lane closures starting Sunday and running through Thursday nights.
- I-175: Lanes will be closed from 16th Street S to 4th Street S nightly from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. (Nov. 9-13).
- I-275: The segment from the end of the southbound express lanes to 38th Avenue North will see closures from 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly (Nov. 9-13).
- Ramps: Intermittent, very brief flagging operations are scheduled at the I-275 exit and entrance ramps at 38th Ave N (Exit 25), 54th Ave N (Exits 26, 26A, 26B), and Gandy Boulevard (Exit 28) during the day, specifically from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday (Nov. 10-14).
- Tyrone Boulevard (ALT US 19): Night lane closures are also set for the portion from 5th Ave N to 38th Ave N, running from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. (Nov. 9-13).
Daytime work will be prevalent on many key Pinellas arteries throughout the week (Nov. 10-14), affecting the following roads:
- ALT US 19: Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the segments from Meres Boulevard to Tampa Road and at E Curlew Place & St. Andrews Drive. The section at Anclote Road/Coquina Drive is scheduled for closures from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- US 19: Two distinct sections face night closures (8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Nov. 9-13): from SR 580 (Main Street) to SR 586 (Curlew Road), and from Drew Street to Sunset Point Road.
- SR 60 (Gulf to Bay Boulevard): Eastbound lane closures are scheduled for 24 hours per day through late 2025 between S. Bayshore Boulevard and Dr Kiran C Patel Boulevard.
- SR 586 (Curlew Road): Motorists should note a 24-hour outside eastbound lane closure through late 2026 between McMullen Booth Road and Tampa Road. Additional middle eastbound closures will occur from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. that week.
