Record cold temperatures hit Tampa Bay Tuesday morning

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Many areas are waking up to record cold temperatures this morning. It is windy and cold and although skies will be mostly sunny today, temperatures will stay chilly all afternoon.

Temperatures will only warm into the upper 50s. Wind chills will stay in the mid and upper 50s with a little bit of a breeze sticking around. It will be chilly again tonight, although not quite as cold as this morning.

A slow warming trend will begin tomorrow afternoon with low 70s returning. The upper 70s will return by Friday afternoon and the low 80s will be back in the forecast by the weekend.

The weather pattern will stay quiet with little to no rain in the forecast through early next week. The humidity will stay low and the next front doesn’t look like it will arrive until the middle of next week.
