GULFPORT, Fla. (WFLA) —A Gulfport man is facing three felony charges after an unprovoked attack on his mother and stepfather last Friday, the Gulfport Police Department said.
Officers responded to a home in the upscale community at the Pasadena Yacht Country Club just before 9 p.m. on Nov. 14 after reports of a battery in progress. Upon their arrival, the suspect fled on foot, and officers located a 68-year-old man suffering from multiple cuts and lacerations.

The victim told police that the suspect was his stepson, 43-year-old Jorge Polo, and that the attack came out of nowhere. Polo initially began arguing with the victim and then shoved him into a glass table, shattering it.
