St. Pete Beach’s Category 36 Taphouse & Kitchen reopens in new Corey Ave spot

After almost a year away, a local favorite in St. Pete Beach is back. Category 36 Taphouse & Kitchen has officially reopened in a new location at 348 Corey Avenue.

The popular pizza spot was shuttered after damage from last year’s hurricanes eventually caused the property owner to terminate their lease. The debut of the award-winning restaurant’s new location marks yet another successful return for those affected by the storms.

The casual, locally-owned spot is beloved for its pizzas, strombolis, wings, and extensive draft list showcasing a mix of local and domestic beers. Just as before, the new spot for Category 36 is a perfect blend of beach bar relaxation with a cozy pub atmosphere.

The new spot is bright and airy, joining a long list of local stars on Corey Avenue. Open since 2017, Category 36 is a paradise for carb-lovers, featuring a wide range of hot sandwiches, freshly-made pizzas, Bavarian pretzel sticks, meatball slides, and even gyros…
