Driver accused in deadly Ybor City bar crash now faces 36 more charges

TAMPA, Fla. — The driver accused of crashing into an Ybor City bar, killing four people and seriously injuring several others, is now facing 36 more charges.

A toxicology report from the Florida Highway Patrol found that 22-year-old Silas Sampson had drugs and alcohol in his system at the time of the Nov. 8 crash, the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office said.

According to the state attorney’s office, Silas Sampson’s blood alcohol level was above the legal limit, and he had marijuana in his system at the time of the crash…
