TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Attention drivers in Florida, your license plate could be breaking the law. On October 1, 2025, a new law was put into place that prohibits any coverings, tints, or frames that obscure your plate.
Now, people’s license plates need to be completely plain, with nothing on them or surrounding them.
