INDIAN ROCKS BEACH, Fla. (WFLA) — Gone are the days of free parking at Indian Rocks Beach, the lone beach in Pinellas County that has allowed all visitors to leave their cars at beach accesses without cost. ParkPoint systems will be installed at all 182 spots along the coast.
City commissioners approved a pilot program for 2026 at a Dec. 9 meeting, citing ongoing costs for infrastructure projects and hurricane repairs due to damage from Milton and Helene.
