Multiple deadly crashes happened on Christmas Eve in the Tampa Bay area, FHP says

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol said that three people died after multiple collisions took place on Christmas Eve in the counties of Pinellas, Hillsborough and Pasco.

The first incident occurred around 3 p.m., when a local 55-year-old man in Holiday, Fla. was traveling on a motorcycle west on Holiday Lake Drive, an FHP spokesperson said. The motorcycle driver was passing traffic before crashing against an SUV driven by a 41-year-old woman from Plant City in the intersection of Solar Drive.

While the SUV driver suffered minor injuries, the motorcyclist died due to his injuries after being transported to a nearby hospital, the FHP said…
