TAMPA, Fla. (CBS12) — A two-decade-old murder case in Tampa is officially closed, bringing long-awaited answers, but no criminal charges, for the family of Tammy Fickey.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Cold Case unit, at 7:30 p.m. on March 12, 2005, deputies found an unresponsive woman, later identified as 31-year-old Tammy Fickey, behind an apartment building, who had died by apparent blunt force trauma to the head and chest.
