One of the Southeast’s most popular barbecue spots is making its Tampa Bay debut. Moe’s Original BBQ, which first rose to fame in Alabama, is opening Jan. 12 at Bardmoor Promenade in Seminole, located at 10801 Starkey Road.
The award-winning fast-casual chain is known for its in-house smoked meats, scratch-made Southern side dishes, and rotating specials. Moe’s pairs all that meaty goodness with an atmosphere that leans sports bar while still feeling family-friendly. The Seminole location will feature plenty of TVs and a full bar, making it easy to pair your barbecue with a beer, whiskey, or your drink of choice.
The menu reads like a classic Southern barbecue joint, which makes sense given Moe’s roots. Expect pulled pork platters, smoked wings, meat-packed sandwiches, St. Louis-style ribs, nachos, and “Haul It Home” party packs. House-made sides include fresh-baked jalapeño cornbread, banana pudding, baked beans, coleslaw, mac and cheese, and other barbecue staples.
While Moe’s Original BBQ is a growing chain, the Seminole location is set to feel more like a family-run restaurant. That’s not just because the meats are smoked in-house over oak and fruit woods.
