Popular Madeira Beach restaurant to close for new town center

MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. (WFLA) — A popular Italian restaurant in Madeira Beach announced it’ll soon be closing its doors as the city prepares to start development on a new town center.

Frabotta’s Beach Kitchen has sat just steps away from the beach for years, nestled into a corner spot on Madeira Way and Gulf Boulevard.

The restaurant’s calling card is their Detroit-style pizza, which they define as a pan pizza with a thick, crispy crust and often topped with pepperoni and mushrooms. But Frabotta’s has something for everyone, including plenty of sandwiches and subs, pasta dishes, traditional pizzas and other classic Italian bites.

On Jan. 8, Frabotta’s took to Facebook to announce that the owners had made the “incredibly difficult decision” to close their doors due to groundbreaking of the Madeira Beach Town Center that’s set to begin in the coming weeks.
