Tampa Bay leaders team up to build Habitat for Humanity home for Largo family

LARGO, Fla. (WFLA) — Dozens of community leaders across Tampa Bay teamed up on Friday to build a Habitat for Humanity home for a family in Largo.

The home is part of Habitat for Humanity Tampa Bay Gulfside’s CEO Build. Nearly 100 leaders raised almost $250,000 to provide a safe and affordable home for the Wesley family.

The organization said a Habitat home means stability, opportunity, and peace of mind for parents Tyshawnna and Andre Wesley and their four sons.

“I am building because I want to provide a better life for my kids—a place to grow, heal, and thrive,” Tyshawnna said. “Our children deserve a space where they can grow up feeling safe, secure, and with the room to express themselves.”…
