Road rage driver who chased, shot at car in Gibsonton convicted of attempted murder

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A man who chased and shot at a driver in Gibsonton has been convicted of second-degree attempted murder.

A jury found Jose Antonio Alvarado Claudio guilty in the April 18 road rage case, the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office said Thursday.

Prosecutors said Alvarado Claudio was driving his red Mini Cooper on I-75 when the incident unfolded that morning. He became furious with the driver of another car after a lane change.
