Traffic Stop In Tampa Leads To Arrest Of 3 Illegal Immigrants Linked To $137,000 Burglary Spree

TAMPA, Fla. – Hillsborough County deputies arrested three men following a series of residential burglaries that resulted in the theft of over $137,000 in property. The investigation began on the afternoon of January 24, 2026, when authorities responded to a home on West Kenyon Avenue in Tampa. Residents reported a shattered sliding glass door and a ransacked interior, with a personal safe, jewelry, and firearms among the items stolen.

A second burglary was reported later that day at a residence on Osage Drive, approximately five miles away. Investigators used video surveillance from the scenes to identify a vehicle suspected of involvement in both incidents.

On January 27, 2026, deputies located the vehicle traveling south on Interstate 75. A traffic stop near the Sun City Center Boulevard exit led to the detention of three occupants, all identified as citizens of Colombia and confirmed to be in the country illegally…
