Fatal Pinellas Park Collision Investigation Ends Without Charges

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – The Pinellas Park Police Department has confirmed the death of 64-year-old David Joseph Lecher following a motor vehicle collision that happened on February 4, 2026. Lecher, who was operating a Harley-Davidson motorcycle at the time of the incident, succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday, February 11, while receiving care at a local hospital.

The accident occurred at approximately 3:10 PM at the intersection of 66th Street and 126th Avenue. According to the police investigation, both the motorcycle and a Nissan Rogue, driven by 29-year-old Taylor Vanhaerants, were traveling northbound on 66th Street.
