Presidents’ Day Pushes St. Petersburg Trash Pickup Back One Day

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Residents in St. Petersburg should hold onto their bins for an extra morning this coming week. With the city observing Presidents’ Day on Monday, Feb. 16, local government offices and various municipal facilities are set to close their doors for the holiday.

The closure directly impacts the city’s sanitation schedule. If your trash or recycling is normally picked up on Monday, crews will be coming by on Tuesday instead. Consequently, those who usually see a truck on Tuesday will have their collection moved to Wednesday.
