Pinellas County’s Bayside Bridge officially renamed

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — Pinellas County’s Bayside Bridge officially has a new name.

A renaming ceremony was held on Tuesday for the “Dillinger McCabe Bayside Bridge.”

Pinellas County School Board to vote on closures, consolidations affecting several schools

The bridge was renamed to honor the extraordinary public service of Robert “Bob” Dillinger and Bernard “Bernie” McCabe, Pinellas County officials said.

Dillinger was elected Public Defender for the Sixth Circuit in 1996 and served in the role until his retirement in 2024.

McCabe was elected Pinellas-Pasco State Attorney in 1992 and served in that role for over 25 years…
