ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — A St. Petersburg officer rescued an opossum that was stuck on a ledge along Tampa Bay on Thursday, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.
The police department said it received reports from people who spotted the opossum in distress.
According to a video, an officer hopped down onto the ledge and lifted the opossum to safety before placing it in bushes nearby.
