Kentucky lottery winner accepts plea deal in arrest at Flordia resort after hitting jackpot

KENTUCKY (FOX 56) — Kentucky lottery winner James Farthing has accepted a plea deal in the case where he’s accused of kicked Florida sheriff’s deputy in the face just days after winning the lottery.

Farthing, from Georgetown, Kentucky, made Kentucky Lottery history with a $167.3 million jackpot prize in the April 2025 drawing. FOX 56 previously reported that he was at the Island Grand in St. Petersburg when a fight broke out

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office responded to the resort and attempted to break up the fight. Court documents said that Farthing kicked a deputy in the face in the process and tried to flee the resort…
