LARGO, Fla. – Largo police have cleared the scene at the Melrose on the Bay Apartment Complex following a tense afternoon that saw a SWAT team deployment and a total neighborhood shutdown. The incident began around 6:28 p.m. on Wednesday, when emergency dispatchers received reports of a shooting at 5142 Foxbridge Circle.
Initial reports from the scene indicated that an unidentified individual was firing a weapon from inside an apartment. Investigators noted that while shots were being discharged, the gunfire did not appear to be aimed at any specific person or group. The Largo Police Department confirmed that no injuries were reported.
