The Bob family has welcomed its newest member. Bob’s Side Piece, a casual pizzeria and bar, opened this week at 6716 Central Avenue in the former Dead Bob’s location.
As you would likely infer, Bob’s Side Piece is a branch of the Dead Bob’s tree, a joint venture by the owners of Dead Bob’s (which relocated last year to 6475 Central Ave) and DeLosa’s Pizzeria in Madeira Beach. The new concept brings life back to the relaxed and long-loved original Dead Bob’s location.

Bob’s Side Piece is on a limited menu as it opens, though there is still plenty to choose from. The build-your-own pies let you choose your own adventure, or you can get pizza by the slice for only $3.15 per slice. One full pound of boneless fried chicken wings is a hair under $14. In a world of $40 entrees and $20 cocktails, this is the kind of budget-friendly (and taste bud-friendly) experience we’ve been looking for…
