TAMPA, Florida — A 19-year-old driver was arrested after performing dangerous stunts in active traffic, shutting down Benjamin Road and Barry Road early on March 21, 2026.
Calixto Gabriel Anaya, 19, was apprehended by deputies after attempting to flee the scene, nearly hitting pedestrians and driving into oncoming traffic, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies used the Grappler device to safely disable Anaya’s vehicle. He faces charges including street takeover, reckless driving, and felony fleeing to elude.
