Open burning of yard waste, construction debris, and household trash is prohibited year-round in Pinellas County under Ordinance Sec. 58-206. Allowed fires include small recreational or cooking fires using clean wood or charcoal, as long as they meet fire safety rules:
- Must be at least 25 feet from structures and fully attended.
- Fire containers or rings may not exceed 3 feet wide or 2 feet high.
- Equipment like a garden hose must be ready for use.
