SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Florida gas prices edged lower Thursday, including in the Bradenton-Sarasota-Venice and Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater metro areas, even as fighting involving Iran raised new concerns about global oil supplies, according to AAA.
The statewide average for regular unleaded was $3.879 a gallon, down 2.2 cents from Wednesday’s average of $3.901. In the Bradenton-Sarasota-Venice area, the average for regular was $3.863, down 2.9 cents from Wednesday. In the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater metro area, the average was $3.854, down 3.2 cents from a day earlier.
