St. Petersburg Police: Coquina Key Teen Behind Bars For Deadly House Fire

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The manhunt for a local teenager suspected of a fatal arson ended Wednesday when 17-year-old Charles Chambliss III walked into the St. Petersburg Police Department to surrender.

Detectives had been searching for Chambliss since Monday, following an investigation into a March 22nd fire that tore through a home on Neptune Drive Southeast.

The fire broke out shortly after 3:30 a.m. at 3963 Neptune Dr. SE. According to police reports, Chambliss set fire to a car parked under the home’s carport.
