City to enforce Phase III water shortage restrictions

April 3, 2026 – The City of St. Petersburg will begin to enforce the Southwest Florida Water Management District’s Modified Phase III “Extreme” Water Shortage Order for Pinellas County residents. According to a prepared statement, St. Petersburg residents can expect “nighttime enforcement patrols at least once per week to identify extra watering.” Citations will be issued without warnings starting April 17.
