Treasure Island church hit by hurricane rebuilds in time for Easter service

TREASURE ISLAND, FLA. (WFLA) — Paradise Lutheran Church on Treasure Island welcomed churchgoers back inside after their building was badly damaged in the 2024 hurricanes.

Renovations were completed in time for the Easter holiday. Church leaders say last year’s celebration looked a lot different.

“We had scaffolding in here and paint on the floor, trying to hide it back as best as we could, but last year just wasn’t quite a full easter service because we were under a lot of constraints,” said parishioner David Khral.
