PINELLAS PARK, Fla. — The State Attorney’s Office said a deadly shooting from nearly three weeks ago involving Pinellas Park police officers was “justifiable.”
The Pinellas Park Police Department responded just after 11:30 a.m. on March 31 to the corner of Briar Ridge Road and Cedar Brook Drive S. Police discovered that a man was doing landscaping business in the area, and while he was sitting in his marked business truck, Ryan Jacob LeCompte, 39, reportedly came in and out of his house multiple times and was yelling profanities at the man while holding an AR-15 rifle.
Eventually, the victim fled the area and called police, thinking that he was going to get shot…
