Ruskin Raid Nets Guns, Cash In Latin Kings Drug Bust

Gang-unit detectives with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office say a weekend search of a Ruskin home turned up cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, several guns and roughly $10,000 in cash, and ended with the arrest of 24-year-old resident Brian Clavel. He now faces a list of felony charges that includes cocaine trafficking along with multiple possession and delivery counts, part of what the agency describes as an intensified push on street-level crews across Hillsborough County.

Seizure Details and Charges

In a social media post, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said gang-unit detectives served a court-approved action in Ruskin and took Clavel into custody after finding cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, multiple firearms and about $10,000 in cash. The post lists charges that include trafficking in cocaine in the 28 to 200 gram range, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, delivery of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful use of a two-way communications device.
