TAMPA, Fla. (WWSB) – Deputies with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit rescued three people Saturday afternoon after their disabled vessel began drifting into a commercial shipping channel.
On May 2 at 2:25 p.m., the Marine Unit was alerted by Port Tampa Vessel Traffic to a boat carrying one adult and two young children that was moving into an active and potentially hazardous area with ship traffic.
