Rudy Giuliani hospitalized in Florida due to pneumonia, in critical condition

(NewsNation) — Former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani is suffering from pneumonia, according to spokesman Ted Goodman.

News broke over the weekend that Giuliani, 81, was hospitalized in Florida in what was described as “critical but stable” condition. It is not clear exactly when he went into the hospital.

The post linked the pneumonia to 9/11.

“On September 11th, Mayor Giuliani ran toward the towers to help those in need, which later led to a diagnosis of restrictive airway disease,” the post said. “This condition adds complications to any respiratory illness, and the virus quickly overwhelmed his body, requiring mechanical ventilation to maintain adequate oxygen and stabilize his condition.”…
