CLEARWATER, Fla. – Late-night drivers in the Tampa Bay area should prepare for a major detour this Monday and Tuesday. State Road 60, better known as the Courtney Campbell Causeway, is scheduled to shut down in both directions on the nights of May 11 and May 12.
The closures will begin each evening at 10 p.m. and are expected to last until 5 a.m. the following morning, provided the weather stays clear for construction crews.
The total shutdown is required so workers can safely perform overhead bridge work. This construction is a key piece of the ongoing pedestrian overpass project currently underway in Pinellas County…
