HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County is preparing to roll out up to $60 million in financial aid to repair and rebuild multifamily housing damaged by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. To kick off the initiative, local officials are hosting two community engagement meetings this Thursday, May 21, inviting property owners, developers, and housing advocates to help shape how the money is spent.
The upcoming sessions are a core part of the county’s “Rebuilding for Tomorrow” program, which provides recovery funding for both single-family and multifamily properties affected by the 2024 storm season.
