An intrusive drone delayed a U.S. Navy Blue Angels demonstration in Oregon on Friday, after it encroached into the performance’s airspace.
“This is a reminder that drones are prohibited (from being) flown within a 5-mile radius of McMinnville Municipal Airport while the air show is taking place,” Oregon International Air Show spokesperson Rob Nichols said in a statement Friday. “Safety is the Air Show’s No. 1 priority, and drones flying in the air space used by the air show present a significant safety hazard to the pilots.”
