Moderate heat risk expected across Willamette Valley today

We are expecting moderate heat risk across portions of the Willamette Valley and Columbia Gorge today, especially for those sensitive to heat without adequate cooling or hydration. Overnight lows in the low to mid-60s will offer limited relief from the heat for the Willamette Valley.

An upper-level system over the northeast Pacific will bring slightly cooler temperatures, increased cloud cover, and chances of precipitation to our region beginning this evening. There is a chance for thunderstorms along the Cascades from early this evening through tomorrow morning, with precipitation chances spreading west of the Cascades after late tonight.
