Shots fired in Corvallis lead to arrest near Home Depot

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Corvallis police caught a man accused of firing shots near The Home Depot on Wednesday morning, according to the Corvallis Police Department.

CPD officials said officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired around 11:37 a.m. on Aug. 20 in the area of 1780 Northeast Four Acre Place. Several people reported hearing gunshots, and one witness gave officers a description of the person believed to be involved. Officers were already nearby handling an unrelated call and responded right away. They quickly set up a safety perimeter and began searching the vacant area south of The Home Depot.

The Benton County Sheriff’s Office helped with the search, providing a canine team and drone unit. Officers found and caught a suspect, identified as 21-year-old Alejandro Aguilar Oseguera of Corvallis, around 12:29 p.m…
