The Benton County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) sent out a notification around 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, for individuals near the 700 block of Commercial St. to shelter in place as police respond to an subject who is armed and barricaded.
Monroe Elementary and High School are currently under lockout, with students and staff inside the buildings. BCSO said there is no current threat to the schools.
