ALBANY, Ore. (KPTV) — Investigators are asking for the public’s help to identify a driver after a witness reported seeing a man pick up a young girl and put her into a car Thursday evening.
Officers responded around 5:30 p.m. to a report of suspicious activity on Northeast Sagecrest Drive, according to the Albany Police Department. A witness told police that a young girl with blonde hair was in a fenced public greenway when a man picked her up, placed her into a small black sedan with tinted windows, and drove away. The girl was heard yelling for her mother.
Investigators have since knocked on doors throughout the neighborhood, reviewed home security video from neighbors, and checked with Greater Albany Public Schools to help identify the child through school records…
