HIVE middle housing project advancing in Newberg

A cottage cluster pilot project is bringing 10 units of affordable workforce housing to Newberg.

The Housing Innovation Village Experience (HIVE) development will serve workers earning 80-120 percent of the area median income. The for-sale homes will range from 876 square feet to 1,550 square feet at prices between the high $300,000s and the low $500,000s. The project is being built at 3509 N. College St.

HIVE is a collaboration of the Missing Middle Housing Fund (MMHF), the Strategic Economic Development Corporation (SEDCOR) and Newberg Workforce Housing Consortium (NWHC) employers, as well as the Oregon Mass Timber Coalition.
