Frontal system brings gusts to northern Oregon today

We are observing a frontal system continuing its southeastward movement toward our region this afternoon, primarily impacting northwestern Oregon. Gusty winds, reaching 25 to 35 mph, are expected to continue through this afternoon, mainly for coastal areas north of Lincoln County.

As the cold front pushes inland this evening, both winds and showers will quickly subside across the Willamette Valley and Umpqua Basin. We anticipate a return to dry conditions starting tomorrow, which are expected to persist through at least Sunday. High pressure building over the eastern Pacific will move inland over the next few days, peaking over the Pacific Northwest this weekend…
