Molalla city manager adds statewide duties

Molalla City Manager Dan Huff has added to his robust list of duties in 2024 by being named president of the Oregon City/County Management Association for the next year.

Huff’s appointment to the post was driving home during the Jan. 24 Molalla City Council meeting when outgoing OCCMA President Scott Derickson, city administrator for Woodburn, stopped by to extol Huff’s virtues as he takes on the president’s role for the organization.

“Thank you for the work you do in Molalla. Thank you, also, for supporting your city manager in his effort to provide leadership to our professional association statewide,” Derickson told the council, adding that Huff is taking on an important role for the state. “We have some 200 members across the state, colleagues of ours that have selected Dan to provide leadership for our organization.”

According to the OCCMA website, the organization exists to: support professional local government management by increasing the knowledge and ability of administrators and managers; promote the exchange of information between members; sustain functions, principles and goals of the International City/County Management Association.
