Salem, Ore. – A 32-year-old Salem man was arrested today during the service of a warrant at a home in southeast Salem. Tyler Joel Alvis was arrested this morning at approximately 7:00 a.m. by Strategic Investigations Unit detectives at a residence in the 5000 block of Coloma CT SE. The detectives were assisted by a small contingent of tactical officers and agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (ATF) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The search of the home resulted in the seizure of four firearms (two semi-automatic AR style rifles and two handguns), a small quantity of suspected fentanyl, and associated paraphernalia.
