With a Molotov cocktail in hand, an unknown subject was captured on security footage during an attempted arson of the city’s maintenance barn.
The attempt was not successful and there was no damage.
Police are investigating the incident, which happened last weekend at the maintenance barn located near the Stein-Boozier Barn in Memorial Park. The suspect is believed to be a younger white man with a thin build who was wearing a dark blue track or rain suit, Wilsonville Police Chief Robert Wurpes said.
The suspect attempted to start a fire at the barn using a glass bottle, accelerant and flame, Wurpes said.
