Oregon Hunters Association banquet set for March 16 in McMinnville

The Yamhill County chapter of the Oregon Hunters Association will hold its annual fundraising banquet on March 16 at the county fairgrounds in McMinnville.

“Guests will be served dinner and will have a chance to bid on auction items and win a variety of raffle prizes while supporting hunting and wildlife conservation,” a release from the organization said.

Included in the raffle, sponsored by Coastal Farm & Ranch, is a Browning X-bolt Speed rifle as the grand prize.

Tickets, which can be bought individually or in packages, must be purchased in advance and require OHA membership. Ticket packages start at $120, although youths ages 17 and under are $50 if accompanied by an adult. Call Andy Bodeen at 503-490-2489 for tickets and more information.

Funds raised at the event remain in Oregon and are used to support OHA projects benefitting wildlife, hunters and habitat, including planting forage, creating new water sources for wildlife, building nesting structures for waterfowl, protecting springs and riparian areas and sponsoring youth hunter and outdoor education programs and events.
