Woodburn Police Department is holding an 8-session Community Police Academy from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday evenings between April 2 and May 18, at 1060 Mt. Hood Ave.
The aim of the academy is to educate the community the police serve; topics include a history of WPD, Metcom/dispatch, code enforcement, laws, use of force and K9 details. The academy is free.
