Woodburn shooting leaves one wounded, juvenile sought

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — The Woodburn Police Department said a shooting occurred near a convenience store, allegedly involving a juvenile, leaving one with a gunshot wound to the stomach over the weekend.

Police said they responded to a report of a shooting at or close to a 7-Eleven on North Pacific Highway around 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 9.

The incident reportedly stemmed from multiple juveniles getting into “an altercation in the parking lot of the location,” police said. One of the juveniles then allegedly took out a gun, shot someone in the stomach, and fled in a vehicle. Police said the person who was shot “is in stable condition.”

Police said details about the vehicle and suspect(s) remain unknown. However, they said anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to call WPD at 503-982-2345.
