The St. Paul community is seeking the public’s help in finding a local businessman that has vanished.
According to a release, Gurjinder “Gary” Singh Grewal, 49, owner of the popular St. Paul Market, went missing on Feb. 8 after leaving the market at approximately 10 a.m.
“He was last seen about 11 a.m. walking on State Highway 219 near the bridge crossing the Willamette River” south of Newberg, the release said. “His car was found later that day parked several hundred feet south of the bridge.”
“Family and friends are asking anyone with information to come forward,” the release said. “Dash cam footage, if any, from anyone traveling in the vicinity on the morning of Feb. 8 would be helpful.”
A meeting to update the public on the search, and to gather information, has been set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, at the St. Paul community hall, 20239 Main St. N.E. Doors open at 6 p.m.
Former St. Paul Mayor Kim Wallis said he believed that some local community members were searching for the man on their own and in addition to law enforcement efforts.
