PORTLAND, Ore. – Two Olympians from Oregon and southwest Washington vied for a spot on the U.S. gymnastics team that’s heading to the Paris Olympics. Oregon State University’s Jade Carey and Jordan Chiles, a native of Vancouver, Washington, competed in the gymnastics team trials. The competition was fierce, with only 10 total spots open on Team USA: five for men and five for women.
