A hiker and two injured dogs were rescued by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office Search & Rescue (SAR) team in Jefferson County last week. On Wednesday, July 25, a hiker “sent a note with two other hikers on the Pacific Coast Trail (PCT) asking for help. Due to the remote area, searchers had no way to contact the hiker who requested help,” the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post.
